Il Piccolo di Alessandria

Architect Desimone was interviewed about the changes to which the city has been subjected by the pandemic.

The return to the importance of the relationship between the city and the territory is one of the themes of this moment.

Cities are not autonomous entities and the space other disposition has shown all its limits in this memento of crisis.

Rethinking the ways of living and occupying urban space, especially the public one, reviewing the management of flows and mobility, are some of the times to respond to these challenges.

Houses will also have to be rethought due to the new needs for privacy and spaces for work and study.

We are facing epochal changes and we cannot think of solving them with the tools of the past.
