As an historical building renovation, we found ample inspiration for this project in the city. Our goal was the enlargement of the existing building with a glazed lantern to complete the restoration without being a violent intervention. The color scheme has been changed, a stark white was chosen in contrast with a travertine basement to add value to the volumes with the chiaroscuro. The ground floor has been connected to the existing street level with a scenographic stair, connected with the upper floor and the basement. In this way the continuous floor surface connects the three commercial levels with access to the garden.
